Can you see where this is going?

Degree in an Aussie university.

Business and Aero-Engineering.

Well brought-up individual.

2 years.
2 years of waiting.
Waiting for acceptance, for any job.

"Can you speak Mandarin"

"No."

Again.

And again.

And, again.

And now, he just got rejected from an SG International Aero-engineering,

Yeah, you guessed it. Mandarin.

And I thought that English is the global language?

Sooner or later, holding a degree, or even masters, will be the bare minimum requirement for any job. So how do we get filtered down during interviews?

It's useless for me to point down the answer.

So,

If that's the case, why isn't it compulsory for students to take that language?
